The only reason that you would ever take a scythe away from a Dervish, is for running purposes. Other than that there is no need not to have a beastly scythe on your Dervish.

Btw, sword attack speed is faster than scythe or hammer, so when you think about it, AoL's bonus damage has a higher chance of triggering. Daggers have double strike chance so I agree that they're better than swords.

He asked for a sword build for a dervish. there isn't one that even comes close to being decent. the best options have been suggested, if you hadn't noticed they all suck ass. The only thing left to do is tell him there are no better options.

just because you don't think there could be good builds for such a class combo doesn't mean there couldn't be some that work.
